Veteran Author to Speak at Western Sept. 23-24

MACOMB, IL – Author and veteran Bruce Lack will present poetry readings from his book, "Service Poems," at 91²Ö¿â Wednesday-Thursday, Sept. 23-24.

Lack will speak at noon Sept. 23 on the WIU-Quad Cities campus, in rooms 103 and 104 of the Riverfront Hall. His Sept. 24 talk begins at noon in the Multicultural Center's Multipurpose Room on WIU's Macomb campus.

Lack will share his experience as a Marine Corps veteran during his transition home from a 21-month deployment to Iraq. His book will be available for purchase and signing.

The event is sponsored by the 91²Ö¿âFoundation, the Disability Resource Center, 91²Ö¿âDepartment of English, WIU-QC campus, University Libraries and Veterans Resource Center.
