MACOMB, IL - - After starting his career at 91ֿ as a professor in 1996, Rafael Obregón has seen a lot during his time on campus.

“91ֿgave me the opportunity to prove myself as an instructor,” Obregón said. “I have been in academia for 30 years now. Being a part of the success of our students is my favorite part.”

Obregón now serves as the Director of the School of Engineering and Technology, and through his journey in academia, said the perseverance of students and faculty stands out to him.

“There are challenges and success,” Obregón said. “Being a Leatherneck is about resilience and never giving up.”
